After a brief fight, Karen throws Chucky into the fireplace, and despite Chucky's pleading, Andy lights a match and sets Chucky on fire. Luckily Norris and Karen burst in just in time to save Andy. Chucky knocks him unconscious with a baseball bat and begins the ritual to transfer his soul. Although Andy denies moving Chucky to the couch, she thinks Andy is really joking. Thinking he is lying, she sends him to go brush his teeth but confronts him again when she finds Chucky on the couch with the TV on.
